Kappa Bar

E-sport has recently become an important part of Jönköping. Twice a year the digital festival DreamHack is arranged in the city and connects thousands of gamers all over the world. At Kappa Bar you can play video games, sit in their game zone and watch tournaments.

The video games you can play include Worms W.M.D, Gang Beasts, Super Mario Kart 8, Tekken 7, FIFA 18, NHL 18, Overcooked and many more! In the game zone there are five computers where you log in with your own battle.net/steam account etc. and play your favorite games!

Tournaments

On May 20th, Kappa Bar organized its first tournament in collaboration with the e-sports association Phoenix Blue. This time there was a Hearthstone tournament and in connection with this one they also had a Blizzard event called "Fireside Gathering".

Continuing, local tournaments will be held in other games at Kappa Bar such as FIFA, Tekken and CS: GO, but there will also be more Hearthstone tournaments.

Thursday Quiz

Every Thursday you can attend a quiz organized at the bar. It can be anything from gaming and series to general education.

A place for everyone

At Kappa Bar you can meet Johan, who is the owner of the bar. With his burning interest for E-sports and experience in the industry, the decision to start Kappa Bar was easy.
– It has for a long time been my dream to start my own bar, and to be able to include the E-sport feels fantastic, says Johan.
