Asecs

Right next to the E4, you will find Asecs, Jönköping's largest and most versatile shopping centre. Asecs offers unique shopping experiences with plenty of exciting shops and restaurants.

There is something for everyone here, with a skate park and playground, and of course, everything you need in areas such as interior design, technology, and clothing.

In recent years, Asecs has undergone extensive renovations and business development to create a pleasant and modern environment for its visitors. Several large shops and restaurants have been established in the shopping centre, and in connection with the renovation, all restaurants have been gathered at three different food courts, making the dining experience enjoyable and convenient for the whole group.

There is something for every taste – whether you fancy burgers, sushi, or exciting Lebanese dishes.

Family lounge with nursing room

For families visiting Asecs, there is a special family lounge. The lounge is designed to provide both parents and children with a relaxing time, with spacious seating, changing tables, and a safe and playful environment where children can play while adults take a break. There are also nursing rooms and microwaves for easily heating food.

Events

Asecs hosts various events such as flea markets, book clubs, children's activities, and holiday activities. These activities are mostly free and open to everyone.

History

On April 2, 1987, A6 shopping centre opened, which was the name until 2017 when it was renamed Asecs in connection with the renovation. The name A6 comes from A 6 (Second Göta Artillery Regiment with number 6), which was Småland's artillery regiment between 1895–1985. The shopping centre is mainly located in the area that constituted the storage and motor area of the regiment.
