The restaurant with its two dining rooms gives a sense of tradition, with magnificent paintings, sparkling chandeliers and a breath-taking view of Vättern and Visingsö. If the walls could speak, they would tell you about many amazing meetings between people.

In this unique environment you enjoy as our guests, exquisite specialties prepared with fresh ingredients, from the lake and forests nearby. Their seasonally à la carte menu, carefully composed by a head chef, contains many classics, including char and the famous isterband saussage from Hugos Chark in Örserum.

Hotel Gyllene Uttern is part of Food Around Gränna, an initiative created by local producers and entrepreneurs who want to support a vibrant countryside and locally produced ingredients. The shops, farm cafés, and restaurants are open year-round and are happy to show you how they make their delicacies. During the Ascension Day weekend each year, all businesses invite you to the food tour, where the participants have the same opening hours and offer tastings and fun activities for both young and old.
