Second-hand for children & meeting place for families
Save
In the heart of Norrahammar, a new idea has taken root – a second-hand shop that offers more than just clothes and toys for children. Mina Minsta is a place where care, sustainability, and community go hand in hand.
The initiative was started by some of the local churches, with the aim of creating something more than just a shop. Here you’ll find a wide selection of children’s clothing, toys, and accessories – all clean, carefully selected, and donated by other families.
Mina minsta is also a meeting place. In the shop, there is a living room with a play corner, designed to give people the chance to sit down and connect with one another. Those who donate items can choose to receive a portion of the sale price or contribute the proceeds to the Mina Minsta Fund – a financial support initiative for families in need of a little extra help.
Alongside a group of other entrepreneurs, Mina Minsta is located in the old foundry buildings in central Norrahammar. The area’s industrial history dates back to the 1800s, when Wilhelm Spångberg established a factory for casting and turning.
The foundry grew rapidly, and a community developed around it – today’s Norrahammar. In the early 1990s, the foundry closed and many of the buildings were demolished. But some remained, and these quarters have now become a hub for inspiration and creativity.
Here you’ll also find Dakabom, offering vintage furniture full of memories, the ceramic studio Cajo Keramik, Blomstra Tillsammans, and Me in Color. Over the past few years, the foundry area has blossomed into a vibrant destination for food, culture, and unique shops.
Please note that opening hours may vary – always double-check the current hours on Mina Minsta’s Instagram.
