Rådhusparken was designed by Fredrik Wilhelm Scholander and established in 1871 as part of Jönköping’s urban renewal after the demolition of Jönköping Castle. The park takes its name from Jönköping’s Town Hall, which was built in the 1860s as an elementary school and became the Town Hall in 1914.
