It is easy to go to Jönköping by car. The major roads leading here are the E4, roads 26, 31, 40 and 47.

By train

By air

Jönköping Airport (JKG) is located approximately 9 km west of Jönköping city center. You can fly to and from Stockholm Arlanda and to several popular charter destinations from Jönköping Airport.

How to travel from the airport to Jönköping city center: Buss number 27 runs between the airport and Jönköpings city center Monday-Friday. You can also take a taxi from here or rent a car at the airport.

By boat

If you have your own boat, there is a marina in the outer harbor pier which is centrally located in Jönköping. From here you are close to everything Jönköping has to offer.

Travel to Gränna

By car

Gränna is situated approximately 40 km north of Jönköping. You get there via the highway E4, road 50 and 133.

By bus

If you come by bus, Flixbus has a bus stop at Galgen, about two kilometers south of Gränna. You can also go with regional buses from Jönköping (bus no. 101 or 122) and Tranås (bus no.120). If you arrive with Flixbus you can switch to a regional bus at Galgen.

By boat

If you come with your own boat, you will find the marina next to the ferry quay.

Travel to Visingsö

You reach Visingsö by boat. Visingsötrafiken operates the ferry route Gränna.-Visingsö all year around. If you want to bring your car to the island, it is recommended that you book your vehicle in advance. You book your vehicle at the harbor office in Gränna. Telephone: +46 36 10 37 70. For the ferry route Gränna - Visingsö you must pay a fee.

During summer you can go to Visingsö from Hjo in Västergötland with S/S Trafik. If you come with your own boat, there is a marina next to the ferry quay on the island’s east coast. The marina is a good starting point to discover the island.
