Grännaklippan

Close by the square in Gränna you will find this beautifully situated sports cliff overlooking the city, Vättern and Visingsö. Few leads but very good climbing. Well worth a visit. In addition to the climb you are close to nice cafés, the famous pepper mint rock candy, ice cream, polar museum and fantastic evening sun. Gränna is a real tourist gem and worth spending some extra time on. Visit the harbor for a good fish or take a trip to Visingsö and visit Sweden's oldest royal castle.

Grännaklippan is great for climbers, both more experienced ones or beginners. Experience a great view of the village Gränna while challenging yourself at this wall.

Access

Park in the middle of the square in Gränna. Whether you are coming north or south, the square in Gränna is easy to find. Follow Brahegatan and then signposted to the square and Grenna Museum André expedition. Park in the square, turn around so that you have Vättern in your back and go up to the square to Berggatan. From Bergsgatan turn onto Lergränd to the right and follow this road up the hill. On the right side there is a tennis court, on the left side you have a red little house. When you stand between the red house and the tennis court, you have the first trail, "Hålet i berget", right in front of you.

Facilities

Bathrooms are available at Grenna Museum about 150m from the cliff. At 100-300 meters distance you will find shops, supermarkets and restaurants. In Gränna there are many activities for even those who are not interested in climbing.

With the face to the wall you have the "Hål i berget" to the left and "Pers Kula" to the right of the tennis court.

Pers kula: 5 (Sport)
20m. A rope length, 60m rope. Southern trail, shorter but harder. Begins behind tennis court, 40 m to the right of the corner of the house. The metal rods from the old elevator look dangerous, but do not pose any threat. You have good margin and space between the bars. well reinforced.

Hålet i berget: 6a (Sport)
40m - 10m(4)+30m(6a). Northern trail, the longer of the two. Starting at the corner of the house. The upper anchor is accessible from above, and it is also possible to get up from the anchor to the walkway along the mountain edge. Easy climbing up to the shelf where you will find bumped anchors. The nice climb begins after the shelf. Beginner-friendly.
